Fun Facts About Powder Springs
The name Powder Springs came about in 1859. It came from the particular mix of minerals in its water that made the sand surrounding the edge a shade of black that was similar to that of gunpowder. At one point it even held the name Gunpowder Springs.
Much of Powder Springs is said to be haunted, but in particularly the railroad crossing where many accidents have happened.
